With Newcastle United away at Aston Villa in a televised match on April 10th, the first ever Northern League Day takes place the day before, coinciding with a Socrates Football Bloggers Meet scheduled in advance of the 3 o'clock kick off at Ryton versus Billingham Synthonia. So far, the campaign's attracted the backing of BBC Radio, the FSF, Non-League Day, Newcastle United, Middlesbrough and Sunderland fanzines and blogs, Ryton Football Club and Mike Amos, chairman of the Northern League.
It should be a great day of football. Come along and see for yourself.
Good luck with the Northern League Day and I hope it is a success for all the clubs concerned. Unfortunately I won't be able to make it but I will put a link to you site on my blog "All Roads Lead Somewhere".
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot for the comment and the link. I'm hoping other people will take over the mantle and turn Northern League Day into an annual event. If so, hope to see you up here sometime soon.
